I didn't say he was misunderstood, I said he was a bastard. I think the question I tried to pose was is he insane and by that I meant, someone there is no chance to negotiate with.
I did say that when he was massing troops on the Ukrainian border that he was likely, at that point, open to negotiations that would have/could have avoided this war.
Now we are in a murky place where I think there is less of a clear path out of that and each side is looking for ways to use this war to their advantage. Not at all to the advantage of Ukrainian people, they in some ways have already lost their country.
