For the past week, I've been sitting at the bedside of my eldest daughter Alyssa (9) in hospital. She had a serious bacterial infection around her eye (peri-orbital cellulitis for those medically inclined). We have finally made it home today (she is much improved, but still can't open the eye fully and has double vision), and it's taken me an hour to catch up on all of the postings here - much better when I can check in every day! Looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight without constant interruptions!
