I don't think the world would be better off without US involvement in trying to maintain some sort of support for democracies and democratic order around the world. While I could not, obviously, condone all the decisions made in the name of doing that, I just think there needs to be a balance to leaders like Xi, Putin, Kim Jong Un, and yes, Netanyahu. I can't equate Biden to those guys. He's not that kind of danger to the planet.

Is he a coward? I don't know if I would say that either. I think he is a very experienced and not particularly creative politician. He's basically center right in his politics, which puts him right where it seems most of the US wants their politicians.

He would suck as any kind of Beatle.

He should call for a humanitarian ceasefire in the war in Gaza. If he doesn't nobody else in a leadership position will. I think he is the only world leader the Israelis would entertain listening to. This is the importance of the US president, when he speaks or calls for something it moves the needle.

We and I think most people are joined in a place of peace and love for our fellow human beings. There is pressure being applied to Biden here in the US to call for a ceasefire and we will see what he does. As usual there is fighting among the Republicans as to if we should support this war at all, which is interesting because their Christian base typically wants to support whatever Israel does.

If the guy that just resigned from the UN in protest is correct and 2/3s of the people killed so far in Gaza are women and children, I don't think people will want to support that. Sadly, I think most governments around the world don't care at all and really want no involvement in this war...except to use it as a political football to smear the people they want to smear.

In a situation like this, Biden is pretty much damned no matter what he does.
