I don't study military/political structures but it seems to me that every time an event of apocryphal consequence unfolds e.g. 9/11 or the Hamas terrorism we are referring to currently it's the President of the United States who generally calls the shots. Isreal won't beat Hamas unfortunately and we'll be here again in a while trying to fathom how we can make sense of this horrendous quid pro quo violence.
