Well, Carlson was the tone setter for the network and he likely wanted to double down on the lies, as that is his method, and so my guess is they decided they could not keep him around. He could go to one of the more insane networks that do Right Wing propaganda, and then go even further off the rails than he did at FOX.
I also think that to appease shareholders, it has to look like they are doing something to get rid of the people that lied on air. I figured firing people like Bongino, Pirro, and Bartiromo would be the easy thing to do and that maybe they would throw in Hannity. Carlson was allowed to set the agenda there though so I thought they would keep him. Obviously, wrong on that one.
Apparently, they let Tucker go on Friday. Told him he had done his last show. Now the fun thing about these people on the Republican side is they are all backstabbers and so when they get canned or run into an issue, the knives come out and they start stabbing away. So, it will be interesting to see what Carlson does and or says here.
