With you on that.  The tape is really damning.  We all know that Trump speaks without really thinking, and surely he'll try to argue that "find X number of votes" was something different than what it sounded like.  But that's an argument that he may lose.  Republicans have set their own internal expectations really high with discussion of "additional revelations" in the next couple of days.  If those don't amount to anything, then their cachet further declines.  I can already see and feel Trump's support ebbing here, but I would guess it's still stronger in the far suburbs and more rural areas where supporters may have been a stronger majority.  That will take longer.  But in particular if it's fairly clear that those "revelations" are a stretch, I think a fair number of people will start to see that.

Now . . . if for some reason some "revelation" has some meat to it?  That would make things interesting.  We'll know by Friday or so.
