Thank you, EEE, for the kind words.  Your analysis of trump and his base is right on. Half a trump surely would have been a problem for Dems, as you portrayed, probably would have lost the election.

Even if Biden gets two Senators from Georgia, his task is monumental.  When we see that 146 counties contain fully 50% of the population, right and left coast plus those with big cities in them, that's 146 out of 3143 counties.  The center of the country has almost all Republican Senators representing most of trump's base. Florida also has two Rep senators, there may be others.

Nonetheless, Biden needs to have some dialogue with those Senators representing farmers and working class members in trump's base if he has any chance at all of bringing this country back to some semblance of united.

I think he can, if trump hasn't painted him into a corner he can't readily get out of by Jan 20th.

I still believe trump's childish petulance has turned off many of his base. I will say, he cleverly played the $2000 gambit.  Did his signing the two bills get the $2000 from McConnell?  Think of his rally in Georgia on the 4th of Jan if he can brag about getting $2000 for each Georgian.

Give Biden some time, he may give you that optimism you wish you could have.
