He (Trump) might just do that. However, I think he'll fail. And the more he keeps failing, the more his support ebbs. There will be some true believers, perhaps even a significant number, who will take the fight to their grave, but I think he's losing the critical mass that would allow something like a civil war.
Democrats and non-Trump Republicans could further strengthen their hand by addressing some of the obvious complaints about potential mail-in ballot fraud (there are a few legitimate loopholes) and ensure this doesn't become an ongoing battle in each election. That can be done.
