the most optimistic on this board and this is an applaud to our most elder statesman for being so. 

Unfortunately, I do not share your optimism (and am just a babe of 56 to your 132) and am quite troubled when it comes to our future. 

To see the number of elected Republicans not putting any sort of check on Trump, in addition to his continued behavior running wild and how many enjoy it is so troubling. 

 I mean, for them to care little Trump just pardoned a congressman that stole money meant for soldier issues and used it for himself to the ones that murdered people while working for Blackwater to pondering giving immunity to a Saudi prince when it comes to the dismemberment of a US-based journalist.  

On top of this, the documentary The Social Dilemma still sticks with me and shows how electronics and social media and the like are a tremendous danger to society (I tell my girls that if one thinks of it, Steve Jobs and those like him are probably responsible for just as much human decline as that of human advancement).

Anyway, here's to a more promising 2021....
