Very interesting.  This could get "John Stewart eating popcorn" fun to watch play out. But still, there's an equal and opposite reaction to nearly every event.  If the Dems win and win the Senate (very possible), they could try to do this.  It would help them right now.  It might also lead to mid-term losses and loss at 4 years.  Eventually, the larger numbers could swing the other way and lead to a long term minority on the court (what they are facing anyway if Trump wins the election).  Have to be careful.  

Going away from the precedent set in 2016 does not sit well with me.  I prize consistency and a sense of honor.  Not seeing any of that from most Republicans.
