Are they from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight? Whereabouts do you live? We have a friend in Grantham and he always sends us photos of them flying overhead to make John jealous.

John went to Warbirds Downunder in Temora last year and wants to go to Warbirds over Wanaka in New Zealand next.

He got to sit in planes that were still ticking on his second visit to the UK. I got photos of him sitting in the cockpits of a spitfire, seafire, hurricane and lots more. His smile could not have been broader. He went to signing events and had dinner with his childhood heroes who were all incredibly charming and humble. Sad that so many of them have since passed.
