My grandfather was a prisoner of war in Japan and was in the orchestra that played Beethoven's 9th symphony for the first time in Japan.

When dad helped me drive to college for the first time, it was playing on the radio as we drove into the town and he said it was a good omen. And every once in a while when we would be together, it would be on TV and dad would remind me of that time and we would watch it together. Then, at the end of last year, Kim performed in an orchestra that I knew was presenting Beethoven's 5th. I was electrified when the orchestra with 350 school kids, performed the Fourth movement of the 9th symphony. Perhaps it is all coincidental, but I do believe that they are with us in one way or another.
