We, in our small way are also meandering along the path of self sufficiency. The first goal is to get the house paid off and totally functioning. Still need a kitchen and bathroom. Put in a pool as entertainment and also a water source, when the hurricanes come again. (5 years without one) There are lots of Muscoveys here. One so bold she put her nest right next to the door of a doctor's office. I am not sure if it bodes well for her offspring. Very cool nest, though. I didn't know ducks could bark. This year hasn't been one of the best for us, but we are plugging along. Cheers!
