Sadly, another year without Muscovy Andrea(thanks for the music update-still don't have cable but
perhaps I can listen to David's latest efforts on Hulu or some such). In fact, no critters at all this year(1st year in a long while), though I'm trying to help an older friend
set up a productive petting zoo(I just don't have the time to manage them...but he does, LOL:). Expanded the gardens this year, the back to the land experiment continues as time allows;
gradually narrowing down what works given our availability and conditions, while trying new things. I'm hoping to obtain 3 abandoned hoop houses and set up an energy production(alcohol) still to
power our vehicles an equipment by the end of the year. Suffice it, I have more ideas and dreams than the time to pursue them properly. Bad news on the DB music front, my Triage CD has become elusive. The real loss, is the liner
notes, the music is digitized. Being a grandparent is just getting better. They'll be with us the next couple of days! Thankfully, despite the flooding of last spring, the hurricane Irene tragedy last fall and a terribly
mild winter our business(by local standards) remains uncommonly strong. Our health is good. And I'm spoiling myself this summer, I've been sleeping outdoors most nights for the past
month...nothing like open air sleeping. Hoping I'll catch the northern lights one night soon. The
only down side of sleeping under the stars is sleeping alone; just can't convince the Mrs to join me. Oh yeah, mountain lions have returned to our region. I can tell you, their vocalizations are an eerie
wake up call in the early AM. It's downright spooky. Apparently young'uns have developed new
circuits reaching into our area. Saw one standing on a log on the river bank at dusk; what a sight! Assuming all is well with you and yours, certainly hope so. The adventure contains despite the aches of age.peaceably,
