Agree about the 'non-RnR' going on at the time. The jazz output was phenomenal. Don't agree though about Chuck Berry. He's been copied to death (the Beach Boys being prime
offenders) so much so that it's hard to hear anymore what a unique talent he had. His songwriting is
literate and completely aimed at teen-agers of the day. Go back and listen to 'Nadine' or 'Monkey
Business'.
