Best I can tell, nobody had the presence of mind to put The Mothers of Invention ~ Weasels Ripped My Flesh cover on YouTube with a song from the album … So listen to your own copy of Orange County Lumber Truck or Prelude to the Afternoon of a Sexually Aroused Gas Mask …while watching this cover art vibrate…
This is just a cool slow jam, mama, …and the depiction of innocence ascending or whatever…
& this song meant much back in the day. It was one I had to learn to sing and play; one of the songs that we few friends used to rock (sway) to in the wee sentimental hours, and one that still can well me up a bit thinkin’bout Digs…
..& this one too...
..& the whole of Pink Floyd ~ Animals (songs and artwork!)
and something a li'l different, to represent the tail-tail-end of the 70s...
& Rush ~ Permanent Waves was made in ‘79 and released in ‘80, so I’m gona take a mulligan on this one and grip it n rip it anaway, Cy…..
I wanted to post Jacob's Ladder here, but it's not available with the cover art, and although I dig The Spirit of Radio it's probably been played too many times for a dbis post, so ...third choice (for my semi- rule breaking encore) is... a baddass jam (with Neil Peart peeling the skins off his kit) .. Natural Science
(oh do trade eights........)
