So I was out driving around today, I noticed not as many people buying things anymore. I could have sworn Carter was president and the oil embargo was in full swing. As well as it seems things were priced just beyond peoples reach.Nothing is in stock, and ordering things takes 2 weeks or better.
It seems so many people are losing jobs and not buying things. Kind of like 1977. I remember gas being $.98 a gallon and dad said it's getting ready to go to $1.05, at which point he was going to walk. He never walked but it did go to $1.05.Minimum wage in Chicago was $2.30 an hour, and he worked at Motorola getting $6.50 per hour.Now gas is $2.35 after a high in the upper $4 range and the economy is still slowing. The housing market has crashed, crime is on the rise, and we save less again, as the market pays off it's players.So am I right or alone when I feel deja vu all over again. I mean it REALLY does feel like 1970's and early 80's all over again.I am hoping this means another David and David Album again, Maybe a LIVE thing.
