I looked up both 2000 census and 2007 estimates, and Chicago was still serveral hundred thousands above Houston. I'm remembering a newspaper article from earlier this year citing them being reversed, but given the numbers above, I'm wondering if they meant projected for the next decade. It will happen, though.In metro populations, I was surprised to see that Washington, Ft. Worth, Philly/Camden/ and Miami/Dade were all larger than Houston as of the 2000 census.
