I think Reg has made some superb points, especially that this pick of Palin is just the type of
distraction they can believe in. It makes things about personality, about race and sex and lets
McCain and the babbling prompter readers talk about anything but the issues. It's disgusting, but
hey, ain't that America so much of the time? It's helping them now but I am believing just this one last time that folks will wake up to the sham
that's being perpetrated upon them by putting this nitwit phoney up for the second highest job in
the land. The attacks on Palin are largely absolutely fine. She doesn't know her shit policy wise and she's not
gonna master enough flash cards by January to be worthy of the job. I've hired people and you
know what--if an applicant is not up to the job, they are not hired. Her family stuff? The stuff she puts her own family through shows what a power mad jerk she is. If
she didn't know these kids were going to be under the microscope in a big way here, she would be
even dumber than I think she is. But I think she knew and the kids should not be the focus here--
it should be that her parents should protect those kids instead of putting them on parade. Her views are pathetic on social issues. Her abuse of her office is pathetic. Saying that she should
be treated with some sort of deference and that Obama is disrepectful? This is just not going to
happen and should not happen. It's an important job and she's swiss cheese. On policy and how she conducts her life in regards to her family, she is a night-mare. I don't think
it's vicious to state truths. And I don't care about DUI's from 20 years ago. There's plenty damning stuff in the here and now
to talk about--real stuff--issues stuff.
