I would just like to point out Marc, since Kent cannot, he did not give up herein, he never gave up. At least not in the way your post seems to suggest. Please consider this: the man was handicapped by his health the entirety of our respective acquaintance with him; he was passionate; and he was expending a great deal of energy in his efforts(herein too).I believe his battles herein(DBIS), and probably elsewhere too(although he was particularly devoted to David) shortened his life. I believe he quit this place, though he continued to lurk(as it's put), on two counts: he finally recognized the cost to his health, and as he often expressed, he came to understand he was wasting his time(or put another way, his energy was better spent elsewhere, where it was appreciated and found useful-everybody wants to be appreciated). If you see what I mean, he was waging a war herein, and I am certain you can appreciate that that is far more wearing than a friendly conversation among those that consider you a peer(rather than a freak show, which one quite naturally wants to fight, or dispel). That said, I didn't witness all of what transpired, or who started the war(s). I'm just saying, regardless where the responsibility lies, it was very personal and very expensive for Kent.I really liked Kent(but I bothered to get to know him apart from words on a screen). He was sincere. Intelligent to the extreme(:& he wasn't shy about pointing that out:), and yet he exhibited humility. Undoubtedly he was quite misunderstood, though he left very little room for doubt when he was pissed(wish I'd been around to read some of the pre 2004 pissing matches and the Meltdown, lol, I've heard from various sources that period of DBIS was a doosy).Just some food for thought folks. Kent wasn't a monster, he simply believed things most people aren't curious enough to consider. And I'm just sorry he won't be around to see Hillary elected. He leaned on that theory a lot. November will tell. I hope Kent was right, that'd be a legacy he'd love, don'tcha y'know! The last we spoke, he stilled believed he would endure, prosper even, finish his book and see Anthony grown. So much so! Kent convinced me we'd have another chance to get together once I got to the Buffalo area. I'm quite saddened that his hope(s) will never be.All I'm saying is that, even though you didn't understand Kent's thinking, you should be able to walk, some anyhow, in his troubles. It should bring some light to the circumstances he labored under.anyhow ... I too hope his radical soul is at peace ... now if he make a post from the beyond, LMAO, that'd be grand.time for chowder
