But that is what I'm talking about Cassandra, symbols rather than substance. Especially in Mr Obama's case as Hillary has a long clear record(even before her marriage to the Mr).

Where is the good! in electing a symbol when we all know that behind that symbol are puppeteers with a same-o-same agenda that's dressed up in this left/right paradigm theater?

I'm sorry dear, I do understand your gist, and I'm fine with it as far as it goes(a black/a woman being elected) excepting it's all dress-up for another round of ambushing America. Even McCain is clearly a globalist(I'm talking about the political philosophy people, as distinguished from international trade which has gone on for time immemorial-pre Columbian America traded internationally going back millennia).

I really believe American's want change. The loser Dr Paul topping the NYT's bestseller outta prove that. But, I'm just as certain Americans do not realize what change they will be getting in these candidates. Isn't it all smoke n mirrors, THE STRAIGHT TALK EXPRESS candidate, in light of the McCain Feingold Campaign Reform Bill, please.

Hell, people pooh pooh the North American Union. But in the last year it has been announced that a South American Union and an African Union WILL BE ORGANIZED and I believe it was the PM(?) of Austrialia who was just in the news in last week or calling for some sort of Union involving the Aussies(&, if I recall, according to the COR map, SA & NZ). All of that is about World Government and the USG tells us no such thing is in the works, and the press goes along(usually by their silence). If I were allowed to post jpg's here I would post you a Club of Rome map from the 60/70's where the world was planned to be divided up into Ten Regional Governments way back then, and probably before. Ever looked at their membership list.

Despite the sidebar, my point remains, it's really quite pointless celebrating this illusion of new found equality, when it's all meant to deceive the American people out of their way of life, in favor of Global Totalitarian rule.

I say again, carefully read Brezinski's books, perhaps starting with The Grand Chessboard, as he is one of Mr Obama's top advisers. Look at the others who advise him and who they have represented and the movements they are associated with, historically, the long view.

Everybody(left/right/indie, etc) wants "change" so badly, they are simply overlooking this man coming from complete obscurity to such extraordinary prominence AND who he will actually represent should he be elected. Alarms should be sounding ... which just goes to show the power of effective PR or at least a ton of it, y'know, lol($260 million+ and more to come, phew).

Again, the symbol is of no importance if it's merely a scam, which this is. Too, as posted elsewhere today, Ronald Reagan said all the right things, the things a majority of Americans voted for, but in the actual results that transpired, in the name of his administration, weren't we all disappointed! I surely was. And, as my golden years beckon, I am certain we'll all be unpleasantly surprised(well excepting those who favor the end of the Bill of Rights, which there are not a few of herein) and disappointed by the results of this seasons to come political theater and it'll begin again, again. Americans, and probably people generally, have much too short a memory.

[And before some of you lose your minds: free speech for you, but not for those with whom you disagree, is contrary to the Bill of Rights; if you favor the abrogation of the 2nd Amendment, as it clearly reads and the Founders indisputably favored(guns for everyone), you are against the Bill of Rights; if you think the 4th Amendment is outmoded and only you should have the right "to be left alone", you are against the Bill of Rights; if you support Regional or Global Governance you are contradicting the 10th Amendment and are clearly for overthrowing the Bill of Rights. In which case you should take a few moments and reconsider the five elements of the 1st Amendment, and think about whether you really want to trust your grandchildren's future to the precedents of a Regional/World Court or to its magistrate who may come from other traditions or views of acceptable behavior.]

I'm just sayin' ... the world is always changing, whether the weather or politics -& sometimes, like our times, when they're one in the same- ... we, Americans, ought to be far more discerning about distinguishing between substance, and cheap symbols.

peaceably
