Just a couple of small things tht impressed me about Obama's visit to Bristol:a. No one was turned awayCan you imagine ? Allowing anyone into your rally, regardless of party affiliation ? Unheard of in this new American century.b. Obama said that he would hold meetings on Health Care, he said he would invite and include Doctors, Nurses, Insurance and Pharm. but, he wouldn't allow the latter to "buy all the seats" and most importantly, the meetings will take place on C-Span, not behind closed doors.
He said that if anyone had any better ideas he would take them because he was not intereted in the credit so much as action. He encouraged people to get involved and to watch these proceedings rather then the current "It's none of your farking business" cloak which revails today. No, he's not the messiah, or the savior or any of those things. He will probably have a difficult time making any sweeping, drastic changes if elected but...
Small (Huge) items like the above, already give me some hope that we can return to some sense of "open" government. instead of a secret society government such as we have now.
