Gene - tear that video up and throw it away!!Steve & Frank go at it:Frank on MIKE DOUGLAS!! Quality is crap, but it's a nice interview & SoloZappa's band was like George Clinton's, Miles Davis's & John Mayall's - it was a training ground. I remember an interview with him where he was talking about his audition process. People were constantly sending him tapes, which he filed away. Whenever he had a opening, he'd go through the tapes until he heard something he liked & invite them out for an audition. Kept going through the tapes until the vacancy was filled. On tour, he would speed the show up incrementally each night. by the time the tour was ending, the band would be playing perfectly at breakneck speed. If you can find them, any of the "YOU CAN'T DO THAT ON STAGE ANYMORE" series would be worth picking up. There's also "THE BEST BAND YOU NEVER HEARD" which features a horn section that quit mid-tour, thus the title.
