That’s funny/coincidental, Eugene, I was just last night turning my son on to Zappa ...and Captain Beefheart. Two bands (I informed him) that I never really got … but who are beloved by those who did. There’s some cutting heads stuff between Frank Zappa and Steve Via available on U2b, ...but when it comes to electric guitar I enjoy the occasional rests between notes; meaningful silence often speaking louder than rat-a-tat-tat-tat-tat-tat-tat-tat….

     I would go have a listen to Dweezil and Ahmet if they played around here, …but all-in-all, beyond a few funny songs, I suppose the joy of Zappa has gone over-my-head.  I expect one had to speak into the hookah with him to fully understand.  I did not…so I do not. Peace.
