Yeah, Nebraska really does have a quality to it, though the songwriting is still typical Brooce, though I love a stripped down sound. For my money, Darkness on the Edge of Town all the way, baby.....raw, electric, and not as gussied up as his other studio things. I don't listen to him much anymore, but I've seen him live back in the 80's and can that guy ever put on a show. Nearly too much energy. My friend who plays in his band says he hardly ever sleeps...go, go, go, all the time.
