the fact that Kate Rusby voice and music is breathtaking! to say the least, though she is not Irish and allmost all of her albums are filled with traditional English folk songs. I'm not saying that her music isn't relevant, but it is more traditional than contemporary. I am also not saying that she can't write a tune, but it would be nice to see her write a complete album on her own. God knows, she can do it!!! I would say that her voice is one of the most distinct voices of folk music today. In other words she is a living legend of the English folk tradition! For starters, you are right, go buy her CD,"10" right now! It's mostly a collection of prior songs re-recorded from her first three solo albums and it's great way to discover this truly talented performer.
