So the chain was Sholz Rockman into Tascam 244 into Fairchild into Pultec onto 24 track. A cheap front end to an expensive front end. Ahh, for the days of tape!
Aha! So it wasn't just a Tascam 244.....I kept thinking of the romantic notion of a home-made demo on a Tascam 244, done in a little apartment above a laundromat or something like that, all bare-souled and nekkid, but then you did gussy it up a bit with the heavy machinery before sending it out. Alas, my little dream is shattered.
