Kevin, I believe you are misinterpreting most pro-choice views; very few people advocate for abortions and most would prefer other choices are made. What it boils down to is, it is not your business or the government's what a woman does with her body, whether what she is doing is good, bad, or indifferent. It is between her (and hopefully the father) and her morals/God. I am firmly opposed to aborting a fetus in all but a few instances, but I will not now, nor ever, support governmental intrusion into an individual's decisions regarding their body.
As someone who appears to believe in the conservative axiom of less government, why do you assume that since your ideology is in line with the current administration, that their bureacracy will be any less incompetent then the many that came before?
Why do you assume Bush is not lying or manipulating the American people, when it is proven time and time again that virtually all politicians do? I'm not saying he is lying what I'm saying is I have my doubts and concerns.
And back to the issue of abortion, I've mentioned before that if anti-abortion activists spent more of their money and energy on outreach, support, education, and compassion, I think they would have more of an impact then using current tactics.
