Just for the record, while Exxon has been something of a skeptic on global warming, both Shell and BP have publicly acknowledged goals to limit the CO2 and NO2 footprints and are actually increasing investments in alternative energy sources. This is especially true for wind power and fuel cells.
(BP might want to re-focus some of that energy on operational safety, for the short term.)
