Yeah, David Lynch is always a fascinating watch, taking movies were no one has gine before... and you nevert quite know whether he's taking the piss or if all of it makes sense. Great filmmaker!
The writer/director of "Memento" is Christopher Nolan and I believe he won an Oscar for that screenplay. If he didn't - he should have. Do not watch Memento tired, drunk, high or otherwise intoxicated. The story itself is pretty banal - it's the way it's presented which is at the core... some would say style over substance (ye old Brian de Palma stigma) he, he...
Anyway, I believe Nolan is out with a new movie: "Insomnia", starring Al Pacino and Robin Williams among others. Based on an original Norwegian thriller from some years back. It's out in the US, and hopefully gonna hit us Euros in a couple of months time.
