You're probably right, there probably with be a lot of money made by lawyers, but what's new in these sorts of issues.Imagine the antigun commercial rhetoric! That should be plenty disengeneous!Wouldn't you rather have the gangbangers shooting at one another with even greater intent? With a little luck, they will cripple or kill one another. Which I think is eminently sensible. Especially since our government doesn't really have a problem with collateral damage excepting when they want to use it as an excuse for making a law restricting law abiding Americans. And it may ease the load of the courts, lol.(And where do they get the money to obtain those guns and ammo anyhow? Just a passing thought.)BTW, does Peoria have gang troubles Eric? Probably though huh?Tennessee V. Garner - this case ended the shooting of mere "fleeing felons" just because they flee.I can't quite put my finger on it...but somehow this seems associated to the 'well if you've got nothing to hide' argument being broadly bandied about in support of submitting to illegal search and seizures.NTL, I think this bad law. A fleeing felon should not get a free pass. You fella's are judges on the streets as it is.(I'm curious Eric, have you taken any of the counter-insurgency training programs; or do you have your own black mask and special forces like monkey suit? Meaning have you successfully completed any of the training programs available from a variety of federal agencies oriented toward subdueing Americans in house to house combat? And if not, do you support those programs nonetheless? I'm just looking for as much of a truth as I can get. And this is the sort of detail that really matters!)Finally, I would suggest that the small wieners are in DC and the plethora of ilntellectually adled groups who support all kinds of legislation indicating otherwise law abiding citizens can't be trusted to behave responsibly without governmental interference.Just had another idea regarding the gangbangers. Wouldn't this Florida law allow neighborhood bystanders to act as snipers? Now there's a thought. Some ol boy(or woman:) with a 30-06 and a scope. So when one of these gangbanger shoot outs takes place down the block, the sniper shoots the survivor down from a distance. Yeah, I like this law, it has esteem building probabilities. Four or five serious snipers in the neighborhood would make for quite a community watch program. It sure as Hell will keep the crooks wondering(at least in Florida) won't it?Any idea who sponsored this law Andrea? I wish I better understood why these progressive laws are so popular in Florida. Is it all the retirees?Anywho, be well, prepared, GM
