these questions have nothing whatsoever to do with christianity or "living according to Christ, Jesus" and everything to do with reactionary, judgmental sects of fundamentalists . . .

Q1. Do you support gay marriage?

A1. I'm neither for or against; it really is none of my business; I am against the persecution of my fellow humans because they are different, something Jesus and I have in common . . .

[two consenting adults in a loving relationship is in no way threatening to me, any other christian, or anybody else for the matter, it's your personal hang up that has twisted homosexuality into a religious issue, and please don't trot out relativism and bestiality, that's just silly . . . ]

Q2. Do you support the actions of the ACLU

A2. Absolutely . . . you really don't understand the ACLU . . . because they stand up for people you disagree with, somehow you think of it as a personal attack on your ideology . . . it's the exact opposite, they are defending your right to your idealogy and my right to mine . . . you don't have support them, but you seem to want them destroyed . . .

Q3. Do you support abortions?

A3. This has been asked and answered on this board so many times, it makes me wonder why it keeps getting asked, one last time, and please anyone on this board who refers to themselves as pro-choice, let me know if you disagree with what I'm saying . . . I don't, and I know no one, and in fact the overwhelming majority of those who consider themselves pro-choice, do not "support" abortion  we believe the government should keep its hands off and out of women's bodies, what they choose to do is between them, their family, and their God, not you, your God, or your government . . . all of us would like there to be zero abortions, passing a law will not do it . . .

Q4. Do you support the United Nations?

A1. Yup . . . does it suffer bureaucratic problems . . . yup . . . does it do a lot of good (UNICEF) yup . . . what does the UN have to do with Jesus . . . dunno . . .

Jesus is the basis for Christianity, as a non-denominational christian I strive to live my life as I believe Jesus taught . . . I also find much of value in Buddhism among other world religions and philosophies . . . and I am confident Jesus would have no problem with me finding peace, inspiration and love in many places . . .

[FYI - I attend Unity Church - originally founded as a prayer group based on the bible]
