Karl Rove set out right from the very beginning with the goal of energizing the Christian right to create a culture war in this country. To divide and conquer by manipulating Christians into thinking Bush was their only choice. It worked wonderfully and many were convinced that the only way to vote if you wanted to support "Christian values" was for Bushco.

The "Christian threat" in this country right now is just as big a deal and just as real to the people who are trained to fight terrorism as the threat of attack by Islamic terrorists.
