I tried to gather some of the things I like to hear, ones I wanted to share, especially things I believe deserve a wider audience, then add a few things that are just there to make you chuckle. I also try to make sure that the CD, as a whole, is something that is enjoyable/listenable, from start to finish.  The Local H song and Always Look On The Bright Side of Life (start & end) are two of my personal faves ....

To my way of thinking, you can have the best songs in the world, but placed in the wrong order, and you have a potential mess on your hands.

Having been doing this for myself and friends for a long time, and knowing I have a decent sense of rhythm and timing, I set out to achieve balance and flow.

If I did it right, you'll never notice it.

On my own CD as I listen to it, I liken it to a race car that hits the track with tires spinning, blows up a bunch of smoke, then settles into a good grove, then pumps on the gas again near the finish line, and coasts to a respectable showing.

Cap it all off with some colorful artwork, slap my Restroom Studios seal of approval on it...and BAM you've got Burn Unit Round One.

Those of you who have taken the time to share your feedback, thank you very much. I assume there are some of you who haven't even popped it in yet, and thats fine too. Its only the middle of summer.

Take the time to really listen to and hear each CD you have received.

And I'll gladly echo the thanks to Gene and Pat for the conception of the idea and the blog to air our thoughts on the songs.
