Its the reactionary tone. Rather than anybody saying "you know maybe he's on to something, maybe this does seem to be the type of interrogations we should not be doing".
There is no opportunity to discuss any of this. It seems, to cut through the reactionary din of the Stepford party one needs to say something blunt to get peoples attention. Not everyone is on-board with this "war". There is dissent. There are plenty of examples of some members of the military acting in inappropriate ways. There are growing waves of disapproval of the way we are conducting our business on the world stage. I understand that we are dealing with a foe that does not conform either to things like common decency and the Geneva convention. We need to do better, not just talk about doing better.
But all of this is merely the distractions that some republicans live for these days. Anything to take the heat off of the news of a Presidents sinking numbers, or the fact that people are starting to refute the fear based policies that have driven this administration. Or that a seemingly volatile person is being forced down our throats as OUR representative to the UN. Or that this presidents initiatives are being heavily questioned. Doesn't seem to matter. This administration seems to think it can do what it wants, whenever it wants, and silly them, this annoying democracy is getting in the way. Don't like Bolton? Have real concerns about the man?? F You I'll just install him myself. Thats the type of threat that I keep hearing from these self appointed keepers of the truth.
Any of you real republicans should be afraid. America right now has a government that seems to think it can do no wrong. What will you say and do when they turn their eyes on to you??
Never be afraid to stand up and say what you think, but also never be afraid to admit you've made an error. The bigger man admits mistakes and learns from then. He doesn't shove them back down your throat while pretending to be doing it in your best interests.
Thank you sir. May I have another?
