I seriously question a figure of $30 billion that CA is "shelling" out to illegal immigrants; you're also leaving out any estimate of the economic benefit of illegal immigrants who work at substandard wages in substandard conditions to provide cheap goods and services, many of whom  contribute payroll tax, sales tax, use tax, gas tax, etc., etc., etc. and get far less benefit from these taxes they pay then us citizens. If you honestly believe illegal immigrants are living high of the hog in sunny California, come out for a visit and I'll treat you to a tour of our central valley where most of your produce comes from, I'm pretty sure you would have no interest in living or working in those conditions, but those damn Mexicans are threating your American way of life . . . if we're going to have a discussion about illegal immigration let's look at all of the facts . . . the reasons many need to look elsewhere for work and both benefit and cost of these immigrants. I'm pretty sure many American corporations are making a healthy profit on the backs of illegal immigrants . . .
