Thank you for the piano player recommendation, I'd love to hear him. Don't know about leaving Mehldau in the dust, he's probably my favorite musician right now and I think I listen to his records more than anything else these past few years. I'm open though and I'd love to hear other stuff. These days I've been so busy I have no time to go looking for new things.
Alan has been helping me out sending me songs via e-mail and the only way I'll find anything is if someone speaks up or hits me over the head with it.
I was in Manhattan last week and during my stay and driving around the city I heard a radio station there that played all this very cool electronica type stuff. I've never been much into that but upon hearing it as I drifted through the "deep chrome canyons" of the city I was very impressed by it. Left me in sort of a trance...wish I knew what station it was, or caught the name of one of the artists...I think I let my mind get too lost in the music and the scene...and an overwhelming sense of mourning.
