I'm a big fan of the Finn Brothers, both solo and in bands (together and apart). Is this latest project a joint effort like "Finn"? Have you listened to any Betchadupa? A young band comprising Liam Finn (Neil's son) on vocals (voice remarkably like Dad) and Matt Eccles (son of Brent Eccles) plus two other NZ kids. Some tracks could be Crowded House; some much rockier with plenty of coarse language... I have their first CD, but I believe they have a 2nd out now. Mature beyond their years...stll aged around 20!

I can understand buying EP's and CD singles - great way to try before you buy. I've bought EP's by The John Butler trio, Dan Kelly and others. You am I is a band that I hear songs from and think "I really like that", but have never invested in a CD - may track one down. Have you heard of Big Heavy Stuff - I like their music- not dissimilar to Crowded House - melodic.

I still don't take to Kasey Chambers (sorry...) and I've not heard of Butterfly Boucher - does she do country too? I enjoy Sarah McLachlan (beautiful voice), so if she sounds like her, may have to investigate further.

It always amazes me that people from overseas (yourself and Peter T. included) seem to know more about Australian music than I do! Good for you!
