Hey, whatever else this summer has been it's been a great one for live music!

So far I've had a chance to see Steve Earle, Del McCoury, the Bad Plus, and in Vancouver Bruce Cockburn, Kelly Joe Phelps, and a bunch of terrific unknown musicians. Tonight Lucinda Williams is palying here.

Coming up Patti Smith, Dave Alvin, Prince, and Nick Lowe. Can't really remember a streak like this.

Now if only David B. would put in an appearance. I tell ya Dave, the Tractor Tavern is the place to play in Seattle.

There, I made it thru an entire post without one political reference or diatribe about that weasely little George W. Bush.....
