I don't know where you got the information on this story, but it has not beeen 116 in Phoenix this year. I think the warmest we have reached this year was 110 about seven to ten days ago. On the other hand, My sister said it's been has been around 114-118 in Iraq already this year. Yesterday, Bagdad had a high of 100 and it didn't even reach triple digits in Phoenix.  I do believe this story is from last year, because I remember Sherif Joe shooting his mouth off about this very same thing, last summer? I could be wrong. He seems to repeat himself on a regular basis with his numerous press briefings. The man is a media whore. We would all be better served to just ignore him.
