I'll go first on this one . . . A hobby that touches both of the professions in which I have
worked during my professional life --- printing and writing --- I
collect rare first editions of books that I enjoy. I have been working
on this collection since 1977.Primarily I collect the work of Stephen King --- I have been a
scholar of his work since I acquired my first piece of his writing in
1977. I have signed editions, limited collectors' editions, and first
run editions of most of his books. I also have proper first editions
of the entire DARK TOWER series of seven books --- well five ---
six and seven are due within the next few months. I'm on the list
for the last two volumes.I also have a proper series of TOLKEIN first editions --- all the
LORD OF THE RINGS related books. [I was extremely pleased with
the films, btw.]This hobby gets into the printing process as well --- as I seek out
the best editions with the acid-free paper and petroleum-free inks.Because I was a commercial printer and a self-taught graphic
artist, I also have publishing capability completely in-house.KDB = Buffalo, NY USA
