Gene:Jimi used to accompany me to most of the 400+ in-patient
overnight visits to the hospital when I was a young kid. His music
was the only thing that would keep me focused while I was there
under duress. The HOME TRANSFUSION program didn't start until I
was eleven years old --- so between 1967 and 1972 --- I kept my
Jimi music close at hand.I didn't realize until many years later that what I was doing what
that music was meditating. Jimi was one death I never recovered from --- goddammit ---
every September 18th I am assured to have a BAD DAY. Perhaps
the reason for such melancholy is that on some level I understood
what was *truly lost* with the death of JIMI HENDRIX.Remember, he spoke of the healing powers of music and sound. I
am sure that those among the global elite weren't too happy about
his sharing that secret with those of us tuned in enough to listen to
what he had to say on the subject.Maybe when I get some time, I'll put together a JIMI care package
for you!!BTW, thanks for the upcoming SWD music. I will look forward to
hearing them in more detail. They kind of remind me of the
BARENAKED LADIES, who were surprisingly excellent in concert.KDB = Buffalo, NY USA
