Just a note of interest, to me anyway, is the fact that Jerry Jenkins, one of the authors of the series, was my babysitter. His family lived in my town. His father was the Fire Chief and his family attended the same Baptist church I went to as a youth.
I have no particular memories of the time I spent with him. And for what its worth I read the first book and was bored to tears. The film version was even worse.
I never had a reason to proclaim this before so now I can check it off my list of things to share.
