This is not about discrediting (which is what you seem to be doing with those who support a woman's right to control their bodies, no?) it is about tragedies, some preventable. On this point there is a loose parallel. Please stop assuming that because someone disagrees with the current administration's policies in Iraq, that somehow they hate Bush or are only politically motivated; and please stop assumng that because someone vehemently disagrees with the gov't butting into a woman's control of her body, that somehow this means they are fine with the choice of abortion. I know of very few people who are "o.k." with choosing abortion, those that I have met who are, had a long list of mental, emotional, and addiction problems to go with their warped perception. I do know several women who even now, years after, agonize over and regret the decision they made. I would like to know what policy regarding abortion you advocate, simply hoping the government will make it illegal, cause I'm pretty sure people who really want one will get one somewhere, we tend to not mind breaking the laws here in America. My position has always been support, love, and counseling about alternate choices, such as adoption, because as I have said before I am opposed to abortions, but am even more opposed to the government regulation of a woman's body.

Now to Iraq, it seems apparent to me that the current administration distorted the truth to gain support for attacking a country that in reality was absolutely not a threat. America owned the skies above Iraq from day one of the first gulf war, it was consistent policy that if a radar installation or AA unit even tracked our planes, we bombed. We constantly blew up any and all military equipment we discovered throughout the 90's. There were inspectors and international observers on the ground in Iraq, and we told them to leave so we could attack. Go back and follow the constantly changing spin for why we attacked, watch our President's triumphant swagger aboard that carrier, with that sign, then read today's paper and hopefully you'll understand why so many are angry about the lies, the arrogance, and seeming indifference coming from the white house. Now if a woman came dancing out of a clinic belting out some victory song, I would be disgusted as well.

Do I grieve for the unborn children, as well as those who have died unnecessarily in Iraq, soldiers and civilians, yes I do, do you?
