That's correct, Kent. I have a small investment in a record label, owned by a close friend of mine. He told me all about the "rack" thing. There are a LOT of pay to get-played issues in record distribution (and I imagine other media as well). He now has a subsidiary of SONY looking to distribute, and the game plan is to be bought out by them eventually. That will take decent small releases to get picked up. I have serious doubts it will happen...there are sooo many record labels out there,and tons of artists. Oh well...figured at least part of my portfolio should be in the "high risk" category.
