Friends,
Don't mean to put a damper on the Holiday spirit..but, there is some very interesting, yet potentially scary news out on brain imaging in people who go on to develop Alzheimer type dementia. Using MRI scans, a group of radiologists and neurologists were able to detect increased progression in the normal age-related shrinkage of the medial temporal lobe of the brain (really the one part of the brain you DON"t wanna live without..memory, sex, emotion, euphoria, drug and alcohol effects, etc..the GOOD stuff), in people aged 60 and over that later went on to develop dementia.
Based on this evidence, I would suggest:
1. Don't drink too much Absinthe.
2. Try not to have a Brain MRI done on yourself as you approach 60; the news may make your last few years very depressing...but then again, you may forget about it!

Sorry..I'll post the link in a separate post..lost it.
