I keep telling myself to quit posting so much about politics here, but dammit, whether people believe it or not, politics is, unfortunately, important. Here is an article from the New York Times about the Republican Party's first ad in the presidential race. http://www.nytimes.com/2003/11/21/politics/campaigns/21REPU.html?ex=1069995600&en=cd0dae4de11b77f7&ei=5062&partner=GOOGLE In it, the communications director from the RNC makes very troubling claims that are pure bullshit and again seem to paint anyone who disagrees with the Bushies as traitors and giving aid to the enemy. For example, he states that opponents of Shrub's have criticized the Bushies on both Iraq AND Afghanistan. Now, I do not know of ONE credible opponent of the Bushies who have criticized our battles in Afghanistan. So again, we have the republicans using 9/11 for gains and painting dissenters as traitors and unpatriotic. I'm so sick of this crap and hope it backfires on them. (I was going to write "hope it blows up on them" but became afraid that John Ashcroft and the Patriot Act would come knocking on my door).E
