Re: ban on photographing returning coffins..
I should probably google this before I answer - but I'm pretty sure this ban was put in place during the Bush the elder's term - spearheaded by still-smirking Dick Cheney and Colin Powell. The process was continued through the Clinton admin and is still, obviously, in place.
It's a stupid rule and it should change.
