Very true... probably the hardest thing about getting into the whole "hidden history" line, aside from all the obvious problems, is the difficulty of sorting out published truths from published fictions. In my case there've been "facts" that I've been "convinced" of over the years that turned out to be either my mistaken interpretation at the time, or the rantings of a crank, or even Soviet or US disinformation--both sides had quite a contest going in that line for quite awhile. At the same time there have been facts which I've dismissed out of hand on first being presented with them that have turned out to be dishearteningly true. In one case my dismissal of a fact like that led in part to a great tragedy, which I'll never forget. But Kent, remember in proselytizing and educating that truths come to those who are ready for them, and in a size that they can handle, and not a moment sooner or bigger. And that theory can harden into conviction, part of a wall of convictions; and that convictions, as somebody I forget once said, make convicts. And by the way, the "enemies" that my friend Tony warned me about were not government agents or anything like that--just petty, vindictive record business types with a product and egos to defend. Which is bad enough for somebody choosing to pursue a living in the music biz, but better than being hounded by acronymic shadow warriors with sniper rifles.
