Regarding the Scandinavian contingency - I suppose there's some cultural overlap with us being so close geographically. But there's a popular running joke that Swedes and Danes hate each other, especially considering our history. I have one half Danish friend, that's the most I can tolerate, and my mom has several Danish friends. I don't know how she can stand to be around them.
